Measure the work. Build the dashboard.

Pulsar Insights counts the people and unique accounts each rep, team or group added to cadences, dialed, connected with, pitched, booked and emailed, and compares them fairly: per rep, and per day they actually worked. Then you can build your own dashboards from the same numbers, with formulas like Booked ÷ Connected, named however your team talks about them.

People and accounts, not just activity counts Your own dashboards and formulas Included in the £100/month plan
The problem

Activity reports count clicks, not the people behind them

Salesloft can tell you how many calls were logged. It can't easily tell you how many different people and accounts each rep actually worked, how that compares on a fair footing, or put the ratios your team cares about on one page.

  • Twenty dials to one person look the same as twenty people dialed once
  • A rep on holiday for two days looks like your weakest performer that week
  • Teams and pods change, but the report still groups people the way they were set up
  • Booked-to-connect and connects per day live in a spreadsheet someone rebuilds every Monday
  • Who added how many people to cadences is nowhere at all
What Insights measures
  • People and unique accounts added to cadence, dialed, connected, pitched and booked
  • Calls made and calls connected, so you see both the people connect rate and the call connect rate
  • The same for email: emailed, opened and replied, plus emails sent
  • The mandays behind it all, and any formula you build from them
Two ways to look

Productivity for the detail. Dashboards for the numbers that matter.

Both work from data Pulsar already holds for your team, so there's nothing to export, and nothing for reps to log differently.

Productivity

Every rep, Salesloft team or group of your own in one table, with every measure side by side and the rate from each step to the next. Sort by anything, open a team or group to see the reps behind it, and export to CSV.

What's inside

Fair numbers for weekly reviews, 1:1s and planning

"How many people did they actually work?"

People and accounts, counted once

Every measure counts distinct people and distinct accounts. A team's number counts each person once, even when three of its reps called them, so totals never double up. Calls and calls connected count every call too, so you get both rates.

Users · teams · groups

"Was that a full week for them?"

Mandays

A manday is a day a rep actually worked, by your rule: say 10 or more calls, or a number of emails for reps who mostly email. Holidays, training days and half days stop skewing the numbers.

Your rule, for the whole team

"Who's ahead, like for like?"

Total, per rep, per manday

Switch between the totals, the average working rep, and the average working day. A 7-rep pod and a 12-rep pod finally compare fairly, and so do a full week and a short one. Dashboards switch the same way.

One click

"Can we see booked-to-connect without a spreadsheet?"

Formulas, named your way

Divide, multiply, add or take away any two measures, or a measure and a number, and show it as a number or a percentage. Call it what your team calls it, make the ones that matter big tiles, and put them in the order you read them. Over a dozen ready-made ones to start from.

Dashboards

"Can I see it by pod, not by Salesloft team?"

Your own groups

Use your Salesloft teams as they are (a parent team takes in every team under it), or build your own groups from teams and reps, in your own order. Combine groups into one, with its sub-groups beneath it, and every person still counts once.

Teams stay up to date

"Just my team, and the two new starters."

Any mix of who

Point a dashboard at everyone, or pick any users, teams and groups together, and the tiles count them as one, each person once. Save who and how a dashboard opens on, so the Team Falcon dashboard always opens on Team Falcon.

Dashboards

"She moved pods in September."

Membership dates

For reps who change group, give them the dates they were in each one. Their calls, cadence adds, emails and mandays count for the right group on the right days, so mid-quarter moves don't spoil either pod's numbers.

Advanced setting

"Is that better than last week?"

Compared with the period before

Today, this week, this month or any dates you choose, with every headline number and every tile compared with the same point in the period before.

Your team's timezone

"Is that an average of averages?"

Rates you can trust

A formula is worked out on each row's or selection's own numbers, so a team's booked-to-connect is that team's real rate, not an average of its reps' rates. Divide by zero shows a dash, not a made-up number.

Numbers you can defend

Every number has a plain definition

A report is only useful if nobody argues with it. So each measure means one thing, and it's the same thing everywhere in Pulsar.

  • Calls come from the same call history as Pulsar Connect, as they're logged
  • Calls connected counts every connected call; people connected counts each person once, however many times they picked up
  • Cadence adds are counted the moment someone is added, for the rep whose cadence it is
  • Pitched and booked use the outcomes you chose for your Last Pitched and Last Booked Smart Dates, so the report and the fields on the record agree
  • An account is the person's current Salesloft account, and each is counted once per row

Common uses

The questions team leads ask every Monday

Weekly 1:1s with per-day numbers, not raw totals A scorecard per team, opened on that team Booked to Connect % without a spreadsheet Compare pods of different sizes fairly Tell a dialing problem from a connect problem Spot reps adding people to cadences but not dialing them Track a new hire's ramp, week by week Show the leadership team this month against last
How it works

Open it. Your numbers are already there.

1

Connect Salesloft once

Insights uses the same connection and the same data load as the rest of Pulsar. Your past calls, the last 90 days of cadence adds and your emails load in the background.

Nothing to export
2

Set your manday rule and groups

Choose what counts as a worked day, then use your Salesloft teams straight away or build your own groups and pods. Both are saved for everyone.

Two settings
3

Build the dashboards you review

Start from the ready-made tiles, add your own formulas, and save who each dashboard opens on. Every team lead sees the same numbers, defined the same way.
