Salesloft add-ons: what teams add, and why
Salesloft runs cadences, calls and emails. Most teams add a few tools around it. Here are the jobs those tools do, what to look for in each, and where PulsarGTM fits.
1. Contact data and enrichment
The job: fill in missing phone numbers and email addresses, so every step of a cadence can actually run.
Teams usually pick one of three routes: a data provider's own Salesloft integration, a Clay table that pushes into Salesloft, or a waterfall that asks several providers in order.
- Look for: enrichment that starts by itself when someone joins a cadence, fills blanks without overwriting good data, and records which source found each number.
- Where PulsarGTM fits: Pulsar Enrich runs a waterfall of the providers you already pay for, on your own keys, when people join the cadences you choose.
2. Clay and research
The job: research accounts, write pitch notes, or fill fields no single provider has.
Clay has its own Salesloft integration that pushes Clay rows into Salesloft, creating people and adding them to cadences. The other direction, starting from people in Salesloft, needs something to send them to Clay and bring the answers back.
- Look for: control over who is sent (so you don't spend Clay credits on everyone), and answers that land in the right Salesloft field even when Clay finishes later.
- Where PulsarGTM fits: Clay and Salesloft covers Clay as a waterfall step, custom field waterfalls for any field, and Clay lists into Salesloft through Import. See the Clay and Salesloft guide.
3. Connect rates and dialling
The job: get more people to pick up. That means dialling numbers that answer, at times people answer, from caller IDs that aren't flagged as spam.
Dialers and dialler add-ons speed up the calling itself. A separate need is knowing which number and which time, from your own call history.
- Look for: scores from your own call outcomes, a best number and best time on each record (not just a team chart), and an early warning when a caller ID stops connecting.
- Where PulsarGTM fits: Pulsar Connect scores every number, writes each person's best number and time to Salesloft, and alerts you to caller IDs that suddenly connect less. See why calls show as Spam Likely.
4. Imports and data hygiene
The job: load lists, update thousands of records at once, and keep duplicates out.
- Look for: matching to existing records by more than email, a preview of every change before it's written, rules per column, and a way to undo.
- Where PulsarGTM fits: Pulsar Import matches by email, domain, Salesloft ID, CRM ID or LinkedIn, previews every row, can add people to cadences, and undoes for 30 days. See how to bulk update Salesloft from a CSV.
5. Field automation
The job: keep the fields your views and reports depend on, like Last Connected or the account owner on every person, current without someone updating them by hand.
- Look for: fields worked out from real activity, account roll-ups from people, and no wall of automation rules to maintain.
- Where PulsarGTM fits: Pulsar Automate keeps Smart Dates, roll-ups, cadence flags, copied fields and owners in step.
6. Reporting and analytics
The job: see how the team is working, fairly, without rebuilding a spreadsheet every Monday.
Salesloft's own analytics cover activity. Teams often add a BI tool or a reporting add-on for their own measures and groupings.
- Look for: counts of distinct people and accounts, per working day so holidays don't skew anyone, and your own pods rather than only Salesloft's teams.
- Where PulsarGTM fits: Pulsar Insights gives call reports, productivity per rep and per working day, and dashboards your team builds.
One connection, one plan
PulsarGTM covers jobs 1 to 6 with one Salesloft connection and one plan: £100 a month or £1,000 a year for the whole team. Many teams start with one job and add the rest later. See pricing, or start with a free health check that shows which job needs attention first.
